I don't trust politicians. They cannot be trusted to do what is right for the American public 99% of the time. Republicans use sly arguments to abuse the ignorance of the general populace, and Democrats come off as whiny because all they do is try to make life difficult for Republicans rather than coming up with good ideas.

I turned on the news for the first time in a month. It's all the same storylines I remember, just advanced forward in time. A collection of 5 minute soap operas re-running all day until the next day, when new information is obtained, or a new 'informed' interviewee/political hack offers rehashed baby food.
